About us
With more than 20 years of experience in agriculture
Baltic Farms & Farmland is built around direct, long-term client relationships. We manage each mandate from first contact to close — sourcing farms, structuring offers, and running the full transaction process on both sides of the table.
Where a straightforward asset sale is not possible, we find a workable structure: share deals, phased acquisitions, negotiated liability transfers. Most mandates involve some degree of restructuring before a transaction can proceed. That is the work we specialise in — and the part that requires both agronomic depth and transactional experience in the same room.
Mārtiņš Rolis
Mārtiņš Rolis has 20 years of experience in agriculture and dealmaking in Latvia — machinery sales, grain and fertiliser trading, and farm acquisitions across the Baltics. He knows what a farm is actually worth: land, equipment, lease structures, subsidy entitlements, and operational cash flow.
He specialises in ALTUM obligations, multi-entity ownership structures, input and leasing liabilities, and harvest-sensitive timelines. He coordinates due diligence across legal, financial, and agronomic dimensions and works directly with notaries, rural support institutions, and financing partners across Latvia.
Ed Noordam
Ed Noordam is a certified real estate broker and business valuator from the Netherlands with 25+ years of experience in agricultural and industrial property across Western and Northern Europe. His background includes large-scale development projects in the Netherlands — including industrial and port infrastructure at Eemshaven — giving him a strong foundation in complex asset valuation and long-term investment structuring.
For the past decade, Ed has operated a 1,500-hectare certified organic crop farm in the Limbazi region of Latvia. He understands the operational realities from the inside: seasonal cash flow, LAD subsidy cycles, and the practical weight of running a large agricultural enterprise. He advises from direct experience, not theory.
